Meralco, the Philippines’ largest electric distribution utility company, recently initiated a strategic engagement with PRO-FRIENDS, one of the country’s fastest-growing property developers, aimed at bringing forward end-to-end innovative and sustainable energy solutions for Lancaster New City (LNC).
LNC is a gated development in Cavite spanning more than a thousand hectares of land covering the towns of Imus, Kawit, and Gen. Trias. LNC’s master-planned community is a lively mix of residential, commercial and business establishments envisioned to provide the lifestyle that Filipino families completely deserve.
PRO-FRIENDS Chairman Guillermo Choa said, “Aside from housing units and shops, and to complement our live-work-play-learn offering, Lancaster New City will also be the home of Suntech iPark, which is set to become the Information Technology & Business Process Outsourcing hub south of Manila. Reliable energy is an imperative, and Meralco has a strong record in delivering that, plus more. We are delighted at the long-term energy efficient solutions presented to guarantee LNC power sustainability”
Meraldo assured PRO-FRIENDS that facilities are in place to equip LNC with stable and reliable energy. AS an added resource, Meralco is set to build a substation within its premises. Innovations that Meralco highlighted-include the newly-launched K-Load prepaid electricity service as well as the E-Vehicles and its corresponding charging infrastructure. The utility’s subsidiary, MSERV, also bid for LNC’s beyond-the-meter services such as design, installation, quality assurance, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and operation and maintenance (O&M) of electrical facilities.
